3 ways to measure your twitterness

06 Mar

Once you have started to really get into the twitter universe. You find a need to see how you rank in your social existence. This being the internet, there is of course places to meet our needs. There are a few that I use all the time to see how I’m doing in my day to day tweetings. Look at this as your analytics for twitter.

#1 Twitter Grader

Twitter GraderThis is the first twitter measuring site I used. It gives you a nice grade by calculating the number of followers, people you follow, and how often you twitter. There is some other mumbo jumbo that they say their calculator does. However it does seem to not just depend on the number of followers, or number of tweets.

Twitter Grader GradeAnother very interesting thing they have is to rank where you stand in relation to others in your area. It gets you to strive to work harder on your twitter fame. I really like this feature a lot, makes me feel like I’m leveling up when I climb higher and higher on the list!

Check them out and look me up!

#2 Twitalyzer

TwitalyzerThis is fast becoming my favored twitter analyzing tool. It’s very powerful, and gives you a lot of data. They calculate your Influence, Signal, Generosity, Velocity, and Clout. Their site gives a detailed explanation on each of those measuring units. How it comes to the conclusion etc.

Twitalyzer StatsAnother interesting feature they give you is a top 100 list. This is not just a normal top 100, but you can filter it depending on any of the calculated units above. Here you can find people to follow depending on what your looking for.

You can also do time based analysis, or benchmarks on their site. To really get into the nity grity of your twitter life.

I doubt that there is another place that is as detailed as them.

#3 Tweet Stats

Tweet StatsThis is the perfect place for all you graph freaks. Here you get bunch of different types of graphs of your twitter life. Tweet Density, Daily tweets, hourly tweets, you name it they got it for you. Nice and fast place to get some nice info about your twitterness!

Another thing they do for you is give you your tweet cloud. Basically a bunch of words in different sizes. The size of the word tells you how many times you’ve tweeted that word. A lot like your basic tag cloud =)

Conclusion

There are many places out there that give you all kinds of stats and info about your twitter life. If you have any other favorids, please post them in the comments! I would love to write about them.

Good resource, thank you. I shouted this to some of my Digg friends and will now set about learning how to be more effective on Twitter.
